Katrantzou journey flashback
Balmain is showing its new collection in 3 days and it makes me so happy and proud to say that I've been lucky enough to be part of every step of it's creation process. Its gonna be absolutely breathtaking, a true showstopper. Im sure there will be lots of people who gonna love it and lot's who well.. might not. What is important- for me this collection is EVERYTHING. Just wait for it.
Thinking about my journeys with different brands, I tried to look up my post on M. Katrantzou collection, but like I realised- I never had time to upload my videos and images and write about it in detail. Well- I still have no time at all, but here are my visual diary from what I would call journey of AW collection. Mary herself is one of the sweetest, kindest most amazing woman I have ever met. So humble, sweet and inspiring. Out design team was small and studio felt like home sweet home. We worked through the nights, slept in the studio in the morning, had red bull and cakes all day and if needed, even shower was there. We shared a tear or two a few nights when we werent sure how this collections gonna go, and shared a few more watching girls walking dow the catwalk, we laughed too much and def I didn't have enough time there. We spent valentines day and night making postit herats to each other and watched models collaps and fed them cakes. I was planning to go back this autumn and join my fav design team again but then BAM! Balmain appeared out of nowhere.
Honestly, I had time of my life at Katrantzou's- busy, young, inspiring, new. Had chance to do everything and be everywhere. Met some of the coolest people in fashion industry and learned SO SO SO much about print and textiles.
