These little things
my first swim this year. skinny-dipping. on midsummer night. 4am. at countryside wedding. after sauna. with some of the greatest people. what else screams SUMMERR!!! more than this?
While it'a cold, grey and wet outside, I think it's perfect time to share some of my favourite little moments that most definitely represent summer to me. When looking at these iPhone snaps, I almost believe it's summer outside.
Soundtrack is good old fav Alt-J and their new track ( god, it's been two years since last time!)
wearing a poncho on a tracksuit while looking for a local shop to buy some pelmenis, crips and candy to fight cold weather depression.
spending few days at my best friend's country house with his family before midsummer celebrations. lots of traditional estonian food. tennis and table tennis tournament. rhubarb cake. morning coffee outside. sleeping on top of the sauna all together. game called 5-. lots and lots of beer. pretty much SUMMER.
I love markets. especially in the summer when you look forward to certain "food season" to start. today I came home with every possible mushroom( i know, i should pick them myself!)
stopped a car in middle of forest and field. picked some field flowers to take to our friend's midsummer wedding. sudden realisation: they match PERFECTLY with two of my favourites: Roksanda Ilincic backless silk dress and rusty pink Chanel BOY
Double coconut-blueberry pie.
I also freestyled with this no butter/oil banana bread with apple topping that's made with oven baked apple yoghurt. Sounds pretty crazy( not sure HOW i come up with these things?!) but tastes SOO good.
Retsept:
1 suur ahjuõuna jogurt ( 400g)
1 banaan
2 muna
4-5 supilusikat( kuhjaga) jahu
1 tl küpsetuspulbrit
kaneel
2 õuna
kogus tehtud 18cm koogivormile. suurema koogivormi puhul kogusi suurendada!
Vahusta munad ning mikserda juurde ahjuõuna jogurt. Sega küpsetuspulber jahuga ning lisa lusika haaval jogurti-muna segusse. Mikserda!
Suurema vormi kuid sama taigna koguse puhul on valmimisaeg ilmselt lühem.
Soovitatav oleks koogil jahtuda ja "puhata" lasta :)
Another martket moment. Step 1 for tomorrow's 5 tomato tart: sourcing. Done!
Spending quality time w little nephew, watching sea and talking about all things beautiful and mysterious with a 5 y old.
Chanterelle sauce with potatoes. Easily my favourite summer food!
Take time and notice these small things, darlings!
